You may have noticed over the past couple of months an uptick in the number of engagement announcements on social media. That’s because we’re in the midst of what is known as “engagement season” which is unofficially defined as the time period between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day where we see the highest number of couples getting engaged compared to the rest of the year.
I’ve put together a guide of my favorite engagement gift ideas across a range of styles and budgets to make sending your “Congratulations” to the happy couple a little bit easier. Read on to get an inside look at some of my favorite gifting options!
GREETABL
Greetabl allows you to send a personalized greeting and a neatly packaged present to the new fiancée or fiancé (PSA: “fiancée” is an engaged female and “fiancé” is an engaged male!). You choose your box design, greeting, and can even add photos to the packaging (cue their cute couples pics). Then you select the gift such as a ring dish, nail polish, or champagne gummy bears, and other fun add-ins (like confetti) and Greetabl sends it directly to your recipient. It’s a fun, affordable, and personalized way to say “Congrats!”.
BRIDAL SUBSCRIPTION BOXES
I LOVE a good subscription box! If you don’t know, subscription boxes usually contain 5-8 items that are sent to the recipient on a monthly, bimonthly, or quarterly basis. Fortunately, there are several options made specifically for the bride-to-be!
Maeven Bridal Box: The self-proclaimed “luxury bridal box” allows you to gift a subscription or you have the option to make a one-time purchase from a variety of boxes starting at $34.95.
Miss to Mrs. Box: For $35 each, Miss to Mrs. delivers up to 9 themed boxes aligned to the journey from Engagement to Honeymoon. The deliveries are spaced out according to the wedding date.
Something New Bridal Box: This site provides four different gifting options. Choose between a subscription, building-your-own gift box, individual items, or themed gift boxes.
The Bride Box: Gift a subscription or you can make a one-time purchase from a variety of themed boxes starting at $39.99.
RING ACCESSORIES
Now that your family member or friend has a brand new diamond, they’ll want to keep that rock sparkling clean! This budget-friendly Baublerella Bling Brush is the perfect little gift to include with a card or ring dish like this personalized one from Etsy. Or splurge on a velvet ring box to store their new bling in or for a totally different look, check out this sleek acrylic option.

FIANCÉE ATTIRE
There is likely only a short timeframe within which you can honestly wear the “fiancée” label as attire (though no one is going to police if you wear it after you’re married!). I’m not usually a fan of clothing with any kind of messaging or labels, but this sweatshirt is not only stylish but looks super comfortable as well (you can never have too many sweatshirts IMO). If you want attire with a bit more staying power, go with the “wifey” or “Mrs. {insert their soon-to-be last name}” options at this Etsy shop instead.

GIFT CARDS
Hear me out on this one. A gift card can sometimes be viewed as a cop-out to a thoughtful gift, but in this instance, a gift card to her favorite nail salon would be a welcome gift so her hands are always ready to show off that new ring! You could also opt for a daily pass to one of my favorite places in NJ, SoJo Spa Club. Trust me, after a few months, they will appreciate a day at the spa to relax and get their mind off of all the wedding planning, and SoJo’s amazing rooftop infinity pool will do just that.
Also, with an engagement comes a slew of events (at least we hope that’ll be the case again soon!). Typically these include an engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party, and rehearsal dinner and the bride will need want new outfits for all these occasions. A Rent the Runway membership gift card is a great way to treat her so she’s not spending money on outfits she’ll probably only wear once – and bonus, it’s an environmentally-friendly way to reduce fashion waste!
PERSONALIZED GIFTS
Who doesn’t love something with their name on it, right? Uncommon Goods has a fun selection of unique gifts that you can personalize for the happy couple. Check out some of my favorites:

Bonus Tip: If you gift the cake plate, bring a small cake along with it so they can try it out on the spot!
FLOWERS
You can’t go wrong with a classic bouquet of flowers for the bride-to-be! I personally love Farmgirl Flowers. This woman-owned company supports farmers and small businesses while minimizing waste and environmental impact. Each bouquet is unique and the flowers are selected based on the seasonal best blooms that are available.
And if you’d like to add some bubbly to your gift, check out local NJ entrepreneur Alla Veytsmans’s Instagram for a unique take on a flower and prosecco gift box combo!
